The base tabletop thickness is 20 mm; a built-up edge can make the top read as more massive (visually up to 40 mm). The thickness of each model is listed in its specifications, for example BARSTONE or ANVILSOAK.

A built-up edge creates the visual mass: a deeper edge profile runs around the perimeter, so the surface looks thicker while staying lighter in weight. Examples are in the table catalogue.

Three surface finishes are available: hewn-effect, brushed and sanded. The choice defines relief, feel and the depth of the texture. The finish of each model is listed in the EIKFORM table catalogue.

A hewn-effect surface imitates hand axe work: pronounced relief, irregular marks and the strongest character. It works best in interiors that need expressive texture — for example ANVILSOAK.

Brushing removes the softer fibres and emphasises the natural growth-ring pattern. The surface stays level to the touch but gains depth and tactility — for example BARSTONE.

A sanded surface is the flattest and calmest: texture and patina remain visible, but relief is minimal. It is a practical choice for working and dining surfaces — for example SKIFF.

There are two options: filling the cracks with clear or tinted resin for a level, hygienic surface, or leaving them open with no filling. For restaurants and bars we usually recommend filling — discuss your project.
